The Parker Homestead Story

Parker Homestead is a recreated 19th century town six miles south of Harrisburg, Arkansas. A vast collection of buildings and artifacts from times past, The Homestead isn’t actually an old home place– each cabin was selected and moved log by log to their present home in Whitehall.

Parker Homestead was built from the ground up- curated and cared for by four generations of Parkers. For over three decades now our family has been fortunate to share what we love with thousands of visitors each year from all over the world.

About us

There are so many things to see and do here at the Homestead! Of course the main draw is our fall festival but there are also many other gatherings held year round- from school trips to church services, from weddings to class reunions, there is something at Homestead for everyone.

The highlight of each year is our annual festival held the second and third weekends in October each year. Parker Homestead is a true labor of love and we believe you will love it too! For more information about renting the grounds for your event or about our scheduled public events please peruse the site, check the facebook page, or contact us at info@parkerhomestead.com.

Happy Homesteading!
